Cam Avery (The Growl) Solo Tour

+ special guest Shiny Joe Ryan

Cameron Avery, having spent the last few years crisscrossing hemispheres in various musical adaptations, has now broadened his horizons. Cameron formally premieres his brand new material for his forthcoming album with the Growl, in solo format, on a national tour spanning Brisbane to Perth. Four capital city dates to showcase his capital music. Cameron muses “aesthetically this a massive departure from my debut album. These songs were an outlet. Chronological and reflective at the same time kinda. Consider it an expensive and time consuming memoir of the past couple years, sonically shared.”

Collaborating throughout his international travels, the forthcoming album features internally acclaimed artists from favoured musical hubs like London, Los Angeles, and across Australia. This piece of work was two years in the making, and shall be presented for the first time across two short weeks.

The Audreys (Duo)

Live favourites and triple ARIA award winners The Audreys released their fourth studio album ‘Til My Tears Roll Away’ earlier this year to high praise and mumblings about more awards. A tougher, grittier offering than their earlier records, with Tristan Goodall's electric guitars fuzzing and wailing and Taasha Coates’ stunning vocals at the fore, Rolling Stone called the album “a record of abandon and grace”, and Stack Magazine "another winner.”

If you missed their recent tour here's what The Newcastle Herald had to say: “Engaging and relaxed as they present, The Audreys are an intense bit of gear. They don’t tour incessantly, like their lives depend on it. But when they’ve got something to say, like their hot new album, ’Til My Tears Roll Away, they hit the road with felonious intentions to make a serious impression. A bit of folk, a pinch of blues and an exquisite layer of rock’n’roll. It’s an original recipe made by perfectionists and cooked to perfection."

Check the pair out playing new songs and old in an intimate setting before they take off for Nashville in September and maybe just don’t come back...

Green Mohair Suits - Album Launch

After easing into life as a side-project and casually releasing three records over a leisurely seven year period, 2014 has put a rocket under Sydney’s Green Mohair Suits. With harmonies purportedly sounding like “an orgasm on a mountain top, like angels in a dirty bar, like a perfect naked woman covered in ants”, things have certainly changed since 2006 when Green Mohair Suits formed purely to rip out the jams at a Gram Parsons tribute night.

Now, Brian Campeau, Richard Cuthbert, Jason Mannell, and Ben Romalis - a quartet of expressive songwriters that take their four-part harmonising as seriously as they take their shenanigans - have sidelined the side project tag, and let Green Mohair Suits stride ahead as a frontrunner.

They will be launching their brand new album this September/October on an expansive East-Coast tour

Sex On Toast

Sex on Toast hit the road again for a different kind of tour. This time it’s all about Ricky. After packing the Toff two nights in a row and playing more memorable shows in our nation’s capital and at Sydney’s legendary Vanguard, Sex on Toast have squeezed in their guts and put on their freshly tailored sea-side attire, READY to venture further up the East Coast.

Melbourne’s show at our fave hole in the wall Hugs & Kisses will feature some wild surprises from our friends at Wondercore Island. We’ll also be returning to the Vanguard in Sydney, The Heritage in Wollongong, hitting the Hoey Moey in Coff’s Harbour. We’ll trapse to the Phoenix in Canberra and will be making out long awaited Brisbane appearance at the Motor Room in West End.

To some, Ricky is a forgotten phenomena. Ricky is yesterday’s news… Ricky’s your Dad’s favourite records, a trip down to your local Chinese restaurant to pick up that coke from an LA session musician… but to us, Ricky means bitchin’ horn arrangements, phased rhodes, beautiful women perched upon the mixing desk, & a shuffles that aren’t quite shuffles, but they’re still funky, y’know?

To launch her second EP, Fleur Wiber is back at the Vanguard for a show which is sure to enthral, entrance, impress and amaze.

Since departing from Sydney in 2013, Fleur embarked on a worldwide tour, performing at Singer-Songwriter Cape May (USA), the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and many pubs and clubs around London, Cambridge, Brighton and Manchester. Fleur Wiber's music has been aired on local and international radio including FBI, 2SER and Cambridge 105.

With a dream-pop and country-noir feel, "Fleur Wiber offers everything you can ask of a ‘weird’ folk musician and more." (Drunken Werewolf Magazine, UK).

This release follows her recent single "For I once was a Child" and her debut EP "Orderves" - also launched here at the Vanguard in 2013.

Support acts include the highly acclaimed up-and-coming singer-songwriter Ross Henry. This is a night which should not be missed!
