Hello out there Sydney, we are coming live from planet Vanguard.
Tick... Tock, Tick... Tock, it's time... it's time for a change.
For those of you who haven't yet heard, The Vanguard has recently had a change of ownership, and with new ownership comes new plans and ideas.
The Vanguard is an intimate, purpose built live music venue and restaurant that plays host to the greats of Australian and international music. With a 1920's feel to the interior, the Vanguard's friendly and unpretentious luxury has an ambience unlike any other. Our aim is to provide patrons with an elegant and stylish restaurant, which provides live entertainment, highlighting some of Newtown and Sydney's most talented musicians.
In conjunction with the great Mu-meson archives we're launching our 16mm cinema nights in August.

Stu Larsen has no fixed address, no job and few possessions - just a lot of generous friends who seem to let him sleep on their floor or couch, or in their spare room as he ventures onward. He appears to be on a journey of sorts, perhaps searching for something greater than can be found in one's own backyard. The last year has seen him exploring & wandering all across the world. Through Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States, road tripping with friends, playing unexpected shows in unexpected places, staying in the homes of old and new friends all along the way.
