The Vanguard is proud to offer itself as a springboard to launch your product, hold your special event or just simply celebrate whatever you can think of.
The décor of The Vanguard is unique, opulent and glamorous. Your guests can choose to enjoy the shows at a dinner table in front of the stage or on the Mezzanine or in the bar area. We offer a full dinner menu, canapés, innovative cocktails and a full range of beer, wine, and spirits. We can custom make a menu to your requirements with reasonably priced drinks packages and food that will impress!
The Vanguard takes pride in its place in the Australian Music Scene. The venue has built a reputation amongst musicians as one of the best rooms to play. Our sound system is one of the finest – a Midas Venice desk paired with a Cobra Line Array System. The superior system, paired with the excellent acoustic qualities of the room and delay speakers strategically postioned throughout the room, ensures great front of house sound.
We also have audio visual projectors for presentations or to screen films or music clips.

LIGHTING SPECIFICATIONS:
The Vanguard has a neat little lighting rig which in its basic form is a Beringer 12/24 lighting board sending to a 12ch Dynalite rack which goes to 12ch s on stage . Front wash is 2 x 56s and 3 x fesnals. At the back of the stage is 7 x 56s and 2 x 64s and some curtain toners ( we have beautiful velvet curtains, Moulin Rouge style ).
Lighting gear includes.... a Jands 4 pack ...4 x Solar 250s 1 x Solar 575 and wheel collection....various Molephay / flood type lights , 2 x old par 64s...1 x white lightning..and 1 x giga strobe ..some ropelight....2 x Martin Pro 518s .....3 x custom moving raylights and controller....1 x followspot, and 6 shimmers. Power is 50 amp 3 phase.
